[00:00:00] Speaker A: What up, what up, what up? Welcome back to the Bad podcast, Brad and Dwayne. I'm in here with my brother, Brad. Bradley, what are we talking about today, man?
[00:00:07] Speaker B: I got no quotes, I got no nothing. Today we're going to talk about celebration and experiencing the highs and the lows throughout the trials and tribulations.
[00:00:17] Speaker A: Hey, man, I like it. It is very much relevant.
[00:00:24] Speaker B: Are you ready? Are you ready?
[00:00:41] Speaker A: What it looked like, what it be like, what it do back in here? Episode of the Bad podcast. And this is going to be a brief episode, guys.
When this is out is a Monday, but when we're recording, it is a Thursday and it's my peak week.
And yeah, this is a lot going on. Brad is doing stuff. So I said, man, let's give him a quick pod, man. Just gonna leave him hanging him a little quick something. And so we. We agreed to jump on, man. And so we're not gonna be before you long, but Brad, I'll let you kick it off, man, because I know, I know it's good.
[00:01:12] Speaker B: Yeah, no, you know, I, I mentioned celebrations and the highs and the lows of the trials and tribulations, which kind of. It sounds kind of. Kind of counterintuitive, but at the same time, you know, you're going to have trials and tribulations, you're going to have challenges, and in each one of those challenges, you are going to have highs and lows, because when you are challenged, you do have a. An experience of fulfillment, but you also have that same experience being challenged of. Of your very lows. Like you. You. You sort of feel like you've hit rock bottom or you are spiraling out of control.
And now today, as this podcast drops, it is a celebration day as Dwayne has come off the stage and looking. Looking fit, looking Mr. Superman over there.
I hope we are celebrating on. On Monday. I. I have. I have high confidence that we are celebrating on Monday.
[00:02:03] Speaker A: Either way, we celebrate, bro.
[00:02:05] Speaker B: That was my next. That was the next word out of my mouth.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:02:09] Speaker B: You know, through this exploration of what you're doing, Dwayne, you are separating yourself from that version that you used to be in, the version that you are today. You. And if you are in first place, we are celebrating. If you are in last place, we are celebrating because what you're doing is. Is something magnificent. So talk about how you feeling right now.
[00:02:26] Speaker A: Yeah, man. So right now I. I feel good. This prep was totally different from the first time, I think, mainly because I knew what was going on and I didn't Know, like, you know, the whole body dying, feeling. So now I know I know what to expect. But no real talk.
You said it, man. Although it hasn't been as tough physically. It was more tough mentally.
You know, just time periods where I'm questioning, you know, how. How is it going to turn out? You know, am I going to drop enough weight? You know, all the things. But. But, you know, I made a decision and I actually put this in the Facebook group. You might. Guys might have seen it, but it said, you know, frustration.
What was it? It was like frustration cease when I forgot to quote. But anyway, go look it up. Look, I got. Got calorie deformation.
Anyway, the. The whole thing was. I was. Oh, that's what it. Frustration cease when gratitude. No, frustration.
See, I don't know.
[00:03:35] Speaker B: I saw the. I did see the post. Yeah.
[00:03:37] Speaker A: So pretty much we're saying when you stop being grateful, that's when you get frustrated. And I, you know, I kind of took my eyes off of the big picture. You know, I'm thinking about, okay, I can't make weight, but I'm thinking like, bro, you was 260, 270 pounds. You know, so that in itself changed my. My mindset. And I even told Brad, I've been telling everybody like Uranus, listen, they're gonna get what everybody that I wake up with on Saturday morning, that's what they're gonna get. But. But to be honest, I have seen improvement. So that in itself is. Is a big win to me versus me, not even looking back, you know, several years, but just looking from contest to contest. I've seen improvement in my, you know, muscle growth, which is always hard, you know, and even with my. My posing, like, I really work hard on my posing.
And to be honest, I did it because I was like, man, I ain't gonna be as in shape as I should be. I gotta get my posing up. So I really dialed in on it, man. And so, yeah, just.
I don't know, I feel good. I. I would love to say that as you listen to this podcast, that I walked away with a pro card or two because there's an opportunity to win, too.
But whatever the outcome is, it is definitely a win. And. And I appreciate the bad podcast community, the E2N community, man. Everybody has been just influential and just rooting me along in this pro, in this process. And, you know, Brad, Brad always been my in my corner guy, you know, always pushing, always, you know, so big, big shout out to you too, brother. Just, I don't know, I feel like I Rambled the whole five minutes, Brad.
[00:05:16] Speaker B: But no, man, I, I think you said a handful of powerful things there, and one of the most powerful things is the perspective piece, because I think a lot of us lose perspective when we get, like, deep in the weeds. Like, right now, I, I mean, I'm, I'm putting 400 plus miles on a week. And like, that's, I mean, when I tell people that, their jaw drops. Right? But for me, I, I, you know, when you're in the game, you lose perspective rather quickly of the, like you said, the big picture. Yeah. You're in the weeds and you're into the minute details, and you lose.
You're that gratitude piece. You lose that gratitude. You're not, you're not as thankful. You're still a little bit thankful, but you lose that the deeper you get into the game. And I think sometimes we forget about how proud we should be of ourselves. Yes, yes, these. With these hard endeavors. So be proud of yourself, man. I, I certainly am, as you know, and, and you know, the whole squad is very proud of you. The whole community is very proud of you. You're doing something that less than 1% of the world even thinks about doing, let alone does it.
[00:06:17] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, no, I, I appreciate that, man. And I'm, you know, proud of you, brother. Ready for your big day, you know?
[00:06:23] Speaker B: Me too.
[00:06:25] Speaker A: I bet, I bet, man. But, you know, I want to again, because it's gonna be a short episode. I want the listeners to pause and reflect on the journey. You know, get out of the, you know, get out of the mirror, get off of the scale. Think about where you are now, where you used to be. And even if you're on, on the comeback, you know, think about, oh, I did this before. Like, just take a moment, man, and in the comment section, you know, drop, drop, you know, hey, I'm proud of myself for this, you know, or if you repost the, the video. This is what, this is my homework. I'm proud of, you know, this accomplishment or this thing. Maybe, maybe you hadn't lost weight yet. Maybe you just getting into the game, Maybe you hadn't done anything like, hey, I'm. I'm proud I hit my steps, you know, everything.
You know, there's. There's always something to be proud of, you know, I'm proud I listened to this podcast. Now I'm encouraged to go do something else, man. So, yeah, that's what we want you guys to do as we get ready to, to close this out.
[00:07:28] Speaker B: No, that's perfect, man. And, and I'll end with this. And it just ties into that. Just, you know, consider the three versions of I, you know. Version number one is who you were. Version number two is who you are. Version number three is where you want to be. So always remember and never forget who you were before. Be very appreciative and grateful for who you are. But never, never lose sight of who you're going to be and who you're destined to be. And that comes from the work and the dedication.
[00:07:54] Speaker A: I love it. Out of here, y'. All. Till next time.
